Business Control Systems, LP (BCS), an award-winning, leading consulting firm has an immediate and pressing opportunity for a Construction Inspector with one of our Fortune 500 companies.
Responsibilities Include:
?Support activities associated with contract crews performing below ground tower inspections.
?Oversight/QA of crew activities.
?Perform quality assurance reviews of project procedures
?Assist crews where conflicts exist with property owners
?Assist crews in finding access points
?Perform safety assessments of crews
?Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both internal and external contacts to achieve desired objectives
?Able to walk extended distances in rough terrain/conditions


Basic Qualifications:
?Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
?Strong communication skills both oral and written
?Proficient with Microsoft Office products
?Prior transmission line experience
?Prior experience in erecting steel towers
?Demonstrated ability to meet schedule commitments while managing multiple tasks ?Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, clothing, ear plugs, safety shoes, etc.) on an as needed basis
?Valid driver?s license and 4X4 vehicle






Desired Qualifications:

?Knowledge of methods of excavation inspection of below grade tower legs and members, surface preparation, materials application, and workmanship for coating rusty galvanized transmission tower surfaces above and below ground level.


Working Conditions:

?Primarily outside environment with occasional office work
?Extreme summer conditions with some work extending into colder weather
?Working in remote rough terrain conditions
?Typical work schedule is 4 - 10s, Monday thru Thursday, schedule is weather dependent
?Occasional overtime to support project milestones
?Extended travel throughout the NC/SC service territory
?Some overnight stay maybe required
